As summers have arrived-and so have our summer skin problems. Some of the basic problems each and everyone faces in the summer season are oiliness, acne, dullness, tanning, sunburns, and whatnot! But not this summer. We are here to guide you about how you can take care of your skin barrier with ingredients straight from your kitchen which means there is no need to invest in expensive products. It has been observed that people do invest in a lot of products but nothing helped them, it can be because of the wrong products or maybe choosing the wrong way of applying them.

 

  1. Turmeric + Honey

Tired of pimples, this is your solution. As we all know turmeric is the best option to heal your acne, and pustules as both the ingredients Turmeric aka Haldi and Honey are antioxidant and have antibacterial properties, it fights the dirt, and bacteria stuck in your skin and reduces acne in no time. Also if you are down with summer acne which is caused by dirt, pollution, and sun then this is your time to try out this mask. 

Add two spoons of haldi and one spoon of honey and make a thick paste, apply it on your skin and say hello to glowing skin.

 

  1. Rice flour + Yoghurt 

Rice is known for its brightening and clearing properties, removing dullness. Nothing could be better than rice, In fact, rice is one key ingredient used in Korean skincare. Summers here then, what is better than cold yoghurt? It can be a greek yoghurt or a regular yoghurt that works best when mixed with rice flour. As yoghurt is also full of antioxidants as well as anti-inflammatory properties to soothe your skin. This mask helps in reducing fine lines and wrinkles too. 

Add two spoons of rice flour with any kind of yoghurt, make a thin paste, and remove all the clumps that rice flour may form. Apply it on your skin for 10-15 minutes after drying, gently exfoliate your skin and wash it with normal water but do not use any face wash after that. 

 

3.Besan + Haldi + Cucumber juice

As this mask combined the best kitchen ingredients to fight dehydration, greasiness, acne, and inflammation. Chickpea flour, commonly known as Besan, is one of the most used ingredients to get fresher skin. Also mixing it with turmeric pulls out the oil from the skin, and fights germs and bacteria, adding cucumber juice as a mixing agent will instantly cool your irritated skin and battle heat boils, as cucumber is the best to hydrate the skin as it carries 97% water.

Mix a spoon of besan with a pinch of turmeric, and for cucumber juice, grate half the cucumber and squeeze out the water from it. Keep this mask for 15-20 minutes all over your face and neck and rinse it with cold water. 

 

4.Multani Mitti + Rose water 

As we know summers=oily skin and even dry skin beauties also notice some oil in their skin as the days get hotter. And what better way to beat this than with an age-old ingredient that is Multani mitti. As multani mitti has the capacity to observe oil and liquids from the skin without the use of any harsh chemicals. This is an all-natural remedy that is passed on from generation to generation in India. Mix it with another fabulous ingredient, rose water for the softest and smoothest skin. 

Add two spoons of multani mitti with a few drops of rose water to make a nice mask. The consistency of this mask depends on your choice. Keep this mask for 15 minutes and rinse it with cold water, this will get rid of all the dirt and give you supple skin. 

 

  1. Sandalwood powder + Milk

Sandalwood is the hero ingredient as it does everything for your skin. It fights acne-causing bacteria, removes uneven and unwanted suntans, soothes sunburn, exfoliates your skin properly as well as reduces the signs of ageing. Mix it with milk as it will give you plum and healthy skin. One thing you need to keep in mind while using sandalwood powder, is as it does not suit each and every skin type, so be careful.

Add one to two spoons of sandalwood powder with the same amount of milk. Make a thin paste and apply it for 10 minutes and then wash it with water.
